On Saturday, April 17th, 晩晩当際際夊消消夊2023 nursing faculty, alumni, and donors came together for the inaugural Nursing Alumni and Friends Dinner. Guests enjoyed a delightful evening as they dined under the stars in the Giumarra Courtyard, located on 晩晩当際際夊消消夊2023s campus. Following the program, former classmates and professors were able to reconnect at a dessert reception in the courtyard.
The evening highlighted the many donors who have contributed both endowed and expendable scholarships over the years, helping many students afford a 晩晩当際際夊消消夊2023 education in nursing. Current students Ryan Brown and Kristen Wright both shared about the importance of scholarships in funding their education. This years program honored the first ever Nursing Alumni of the Year, Elizabeth Styffe. Styffe is a 1982 graduate from the 晩晩当際際夊消消夊2023 nursing program, who upon graduation enjoyed a successful career at Childrens Hospital of Orange County, and went on to become the Executive Director for the HIV/AIDS and Orphan Care Initiatives through Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA. Elizabeth gave a powerful address on the importance and value of a 晩晩当際際夊消消夊2023 nurse and why a 晩晩当際際夊消消夊2023 education is so crucial in the preparation of more nurses.
All of the proceeds from the evening benefited scholarships to the Nursing department. If you would like to make a donation to the Nursing department please visit our website.
