  • Dr. William Lane Craig was awarded an Award of Merit in the Apologetics and Evangelism category. He wrote a book that brought perspective to its audience: In Quest of the Historical Adam: A Biblical and Scientific Exploration.

  • In the Church and Pastoral Leadership category, Dr. Tim Muehlhoff, professor of communication, and Dr. Rick Langer, professor of theology, won an Award of Merit for the book Winsome Conviction: Disagreeing without Dividing the Church.

  • The Award of Merit in the History and Biography category went to Arlin C. Migliazzo (B.A. 74) for the book

  • Kenneth Nehrbass (M.A. 10) won an Award of Merit for the Missions and Global Church category with his work on Advanced Missiology: How to Study Missions in Credible and Useful Ways.

  • In the Politics and Public Life category, Dr. Thaddeus Williams (01, M.A. 05), associate professor of theology, was a finalist for his publication Confronting Injustice without Compromising Truth: 12 Questions Christians Should Ask about Social Justice.

  • Adjunct professor Brett McCracken was a finalist for the Culture and the Arts category for his newest book .

  • And finally, the Book of the Year in the Theology and Ethics category was awarded to Matthew Barrett (B.A. '05) for his publication .
