Jason W. Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2008 from California State University Long Beach, a master’s degree in theology with a minor in New Testament from Talbot School of Theology in 2015, and he is currently in the last year of his Ph.D. in nursing from the University of San Diego. He worked in the acute care setting for 15 years and home health for 2 years. His clinical focus is in the cardiac world, ranging from telemetry to cardiac intensive care. Professor Smith’s research interests include optimization of health outcomes, end-of-life care, theological anthropology, and theological integration in health care.
